Oakwood Animal Hospital is located at 2528 W. Tharpe Street. We are one mile west of Ocala Road (Godby High School) beside the Maranatha Christian Academy. The hospital is located within 5 miles of the Florida State Capital, Florida State University and Tallahassee Community College. 

Treatment Area

We are a full service veterinary facility for small animals. We treat a variety of species: dogs, cats, birds, reptiles, ferrets, rabbits, and many pocket pets (hamsters, gerbials, hedgehogs). We strive to provided the best care possible for all your pets and are continually improving our knowledge and technology to do so.

Pharmacy Area

 We have recently remodeled our entire facility and now have over 4,500 square feet and six exam rooms to serve you better. Our waiting room is seperated into a side for dogs and a side for cats to make your critters more comfortable. All of our exam rooms are equipped with TVs and VCRs and we have an extensive collection of pet care videos to help educate you about any problems your pet might be having. We also have MedRx otoscopy technology in some of the exam rooms so you too can see the problem when you pet comes in with those pesky ear infections.

Our surgical suite is equipped with state of the art instrumentation and electronic monitoring. We also utilize the safest anesthetic protocols for the safety of your pet. We have a complete in-house laboratory with the latest diagnostic tools and an on-site radiographic facility to help us get the answers we need quicker to help your pet. We also have ultrasonic dental scaling and polishing aa well as dental radiography to keep you pets smile it's brightest.
